L'approccio comunicativo di Jürgen Habermas alla percezione

Abstract

Perception is a concept that unfolds in different branches of philosophy: as an act of knowledge that immediately refers to an object, perception pertains to epistemology, ontology, philosophy of language and to the more specific philosophy of perception. In the present essay I will refer to the particular relationship between perception and language, focusing on the form this relationship takes in Jürgen Habermas's philosophy. Here, the predominance of the ‘communicative’ dimension (as it will be better outlined below) gives rise to an epistemic conception of perception which forgets the “existential” autonomy of the perceived object
